At Bonita Ranch, it was important to highlight these trends while staying true to our values of sustainability and our unique #FromNurseryToTable concept. We invited vendors who share our passion for protecting the planet and creating stunning, eco-friendly setups.
Sustainability at the Heart of the Design
Ellen from Absolutely Fabulous always embraces our #FromNurseryToTable philosophy in the most magical way. She handpicks plants from our nursery to create unique, living designs that capture the essence of each event. In this styled shoot, she embodied this philosophy in the most elegant way, combining our botanical treasures with her extensive collection of candelabras, unique table settings, and décor, transforming Bonita Ranch’s space into something utterly magical. Sustainability has never looked so ravishing!
Capturing Every Moment: Artistry Elevated
Oh, but what would a styled shoot be without capturing its sheer beauty? Artistry Elevated, helmed by the delightful duo Faith and Harry, brought not only their cheerful energy but also their exceptional eye for detail to the scene. With every click of the camera, they captured images that are nothing short of artistic masterpieces. And let me tell you, dearest readers, their turnaround time was positively delightful! We were still basking in the afterglow of the shoot when the images arrived—something any newlywed would surely appreciate.
The Spark That Ignited It All
Now, I must share the most heartwarming tale of how this styled shoot began. It all started with a call from Lisa of Alpha Lit Treasure Coast, proposing a small photo shoot for a marriage proposal. Naturally, we eagerly said yes. But, as is often the case with love and celebration, the idea quickly blossomed into something far grander—a full wedding shoot, with Alpha Lit’s dazzling marquee letters lighting up the scene. Oh, but one of the best parts? Our models, Mr. and Mrs. Jarnes, were not merely acting—they were celebrating 24 years of beautiful marriage! A heartwarming reminder that love, when nurtured, can truly stand the test of time.
Behind the Scenes: Getting Ready Suites
As with any wedding, our day began in the bridal suite. Crystal and Mickenna from Glam Culture brought their expertise to create a flawless look for our model-bride Jeannette. It was a special occasion, indeed, for Jeannette had chosen her look in celebration of her own anniversary. Then, The King’s Daughter Bridal Boutique arrived with the most breathtaking Enzoani Tina mermaid gown, adorned with 3D floral lace corsages and a delicate bow at the waist. The result was nothing short of bridal perfection.
Jeannete got to enjoy this time in Bonita Ranch’s gorgeous bridal suite with a getting ready area for the bridesmaids, a private room for the bride, a full private bathroom and the beautiful Tuscan balcony. Oh, and let’s not forget the oversized mansion mirror that makes a perfect background for stunning getting ready pictures.
Meanwhile, Larry, our groom, was indulging in his preparations in the groom’s room—a delightful man cave, if I may say so. It’s a comfortable, fun space, complete with a TV, game table, private full bathroom, and all the amenities one could desire for a touch of light-hearted relaxation before the big moment.
Setting the Stage for a Perfect Day
While the bride was being pampered, our talented vendors were busy transforming the space. Christina from Violets in Bloom provided stunning floral arrangements for the bouquets and altar pillars, while Julia from After A While Crocodile designed the elegant stationery, including menus for the table settings, a stunning welcome sign, and beautiful invitations. Each detail was placed with care, adding a touch of sophistication to Bonita Ranch’s already stunning atmosphere.
Adapting to the Unpredictable
Ah, but what would a grand event be without a dash of unpredictability? Though we had been promised a lightly cloudy day, the heavens opened, and rain poured down. Our original outdoor ceremony setup at the stone fountain had to be moved indoors to Bonita Ranch’s charming pavilion—our state-of-the-art agricultural building, may I add! Here, the unexpected twist created a lovely indoor garden setting that was just as magical as the original plan. Faith and Harry from Artistry Elevated swiftly adjusted their cameras, while Ellen worked her magic, designing a gorgeous arch for a California-style indoor ceremony and celebration.
And so, even amidst the rain, the message was clear: at Bonita Ranch, your garden wedding dreams can still come true, no matter the weather. And as tradition has it, rain on your wedding day is a symbol of good fortune, promising a strong and lasting marriage—much like a wet knot that’s impossible to untie.
Making Every Detail Special
The shoot was filled with unforgettable moments. DJ Tony Signorino added a touch of excitement with cold sparkles that illuminated the groom’s kiss with his bride. And, of course, we can’t forget the delicious treats from Oui Bake, which delighted both our models and crew.
As part of our commitment to sustainability, the shoot featured eco-friendly party favors: baby trees, beautifully displayed. One of these tiny trees held the wedding rings for a while, serving as a symbol of growth and sustainability in love.
