Bonita Ranch is a plant nursery located in Melbourne, Florida. We operate as an agritourism operator.

At Bonita Ranch you can buy bromeliads, succulents, royal palms, bougainvilleas, geraniums, and sunpatiens. We sell both to retail customers and wholesalers whether they are in Brevard County or anywhere in Central Florida.

We also host celebrations like weddings. Our plants are part of the recreational and educational activities as well as the ceremonies and events we host at Bonita Ranch. They can be included as decorations for your special celebrations and they also make amazing wedding and party favors.  

Our private property is located in the luxurious area of Lake Washington in Melbourne, Florida. We have different packages for weddings, corporate events, and other celebrations, depending on the package that accommodates your needs some or all of the following facilities might be included:

  • Luxurious get-ready suites. Each one with a private full bathroom.
  • Four different options to celebrate the ceremony: pond garden, villa backdrop, palm garden, or if you prefer to be among nature but under a roof you are welcome to say your “I do’s” under our Mediterranean pavilion.
  • ‘La Terrazza dell’Alba’, our beautiful balcony and bridge is the most romantic rooftop for your first look pictures. These could also be taken on the balcony and grand stairs case. It might be one of the few rooftop private spots to celebrate an engagement in Brevard County, Florida.
  • Complete the Mediterranean Tuscan vibe by having your cocktail hour on the back patio where you can use the shade of ‘La Terrazza dell’Alba’, the maple tree, and the oak tree. The roundabout around the stone water fountain is also an amazing spot for cocktail hour.
  • Our pavilion is a perfect location for your reception. With white ceilings and brown exposed beams, it has the perfect atmosphere for your guests. Our shades open or close in less than a minute and when integrated with an AC/heating system you can either lower or raise the temperature up to 15 degrees.

Our shades are so beautiful, they can replace some or all of the drapery and they are a magnificent surface to decorate with up lights.

  • We have about 1 acre of parking available. 
  • There are countless photo opportunities beyond what we mentioned above. The entrance to Bonita Ranch is a beautiful photo location as the oak tree tunnel provides shade and an enchanted spot for those unforgettable moments.

Yes, renter(s), shall maintain Commercial General Liability Insurance and Host Liquor liability insurance, in an amount not less than $2,000,000 Combined Single Limit for Bodily Injury and Property Damage. Such Insurance shall name Bonita Ranch LLC as additional insured, and a certificate of insurance with an endorsement must be provided 90 days prior to the event.

It is always good to know that a wedding insurance like the one offered by Wedsure includes wedding cancellation (including postponing) “protecting nonrefundable expenses incurred when the rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, wedding or private event, or reception must be canceled or postponed for certain reasons beyond your control”. Please talk to them to understand their conditions, we don’t have any kind of affiliation with them.

There is an initial nonrefundable deposit of 30% of the rental fee which is payable at the time of contract signature. A second nonrefundable payment of fifty percent (50%) of the balance is due six months prior to the rental date. The last nonrefundable payment of the remaining balance of the rental fee is due 3 months in advance of the rental date.

A refundable security deposit will be returnable to the Renter (s) (minus incidentals or the cost of fixing any damages) up to two weeks after the event has been held and once the property has been inspected for any potential damage from the rental. This payment is due with the first payment of the rental fee.

To make things easier for you, we offer the option of paying through our client portal using credit cards and wire transfers. If you opt to pay via check or cash, you’ll receive a 3% discount.

The hold will start once payments have cleared the bank.

For events extending beyond 5 hours or spanning multiple days, kindly reach out for a personalized quote. Note that live bands are not permitted at Bonita Ranch to adhere to our noise regulations. We prioritize a serene garden wedding atmosphere, encouraging a relaxed environment to connect with nature. You can still enjoy music from one of our preferred DJs, maintaining a danceable level without concert-like volumes. Feel free to contact us for further assistance.

  • You are welcome to decorate Bonita Ranch according to your theme and/or colors. When picking and setting decorations keep in mind your safety and the safety of your guests. All designs and installation options have to be approved by the owners.
  • We don’t allow any type of flame candles or decoration, but you are welcome to use flameless candles or to use the ones provided by Bonita Ranch if your decoration design includes candles.
  • We recommend using anchored or weighted structures to decorate. Hooks are available along the pavilion to hang decorations and you can use strong magnets to place drapery and décor from the metal railings and from certain parts of the ceiling.
  • All decorations must be removed without leaving any damage directly following the departure of the guests, unless special arrangements have been made between the parties and has a written approval by the owners.
  • We love ecofriendly alternatives for your different celebrations, you are welcome to use ‘Ecofetti’, lavender confetti, baby’s breath confetti, seed paper confetti, birdseed, and blowing bubbles in the lawn area during your ceremony recessional or send-off.
  • You are allowed to use cold sparklers, confetti streamer throwers, glow sticks, bells and ribbon wands either inside or outside the building.
  • We are opened to host proposal dinners at Bonita Ranch. We will set a table for two in ‘La Terrazza dell’Alba’ or in the grand balcony where you can propose to your loved one. If you book this option and then you decide to book Bonita Ranch to host your wedding, we will apply 50% of the value of the rental for the proposal dinner towards the rental for your wedding.
  • You can use Bonita Ranch for up to 1 hour to take your engagement pictures by making an appointment after the agreement has been signed and the initial payment has been received. Photographer not included.
  • We have our own wedding officiant and his services are available upon request.
  • At least once every other month we have an open house or workshop date where registered couples can book a visit to plan decoration and logistics. The dates and booking links will be announced in our social media channels, and
  • If you have a signed contract with Bonita Ranch to host your wedding ceremony and reception, you can host your ceremony rehearsal for up to 45 minutes the Thursday prior to the wedding, or the week before based on availability.

Once we have signed the agreement, we will provide you with our list of approved providers, ensuring a seamless event at Bonita Ranch. Our criteria require each provider to be licensed and insured, with Bonita Ranch and its owners added as additional insured. Specifically for catering, we exclusively accept full-service providers to elevate the quality of your event. Food drop-offs are considered only when approved, and if accompanied by hired waitresses/servers and cleaners. While we strongly recommend a professional wedding planner for a flawless celebration, a day-of coordinator is a minimum requirement for all Bonita Ranch events. Additionally, for music, only DJs from our approved vendor list are allowed. If you prefer not to use a DJ, you’re welcome to use our speakers, which you can connect via Bluetooth to your cell phone and play your chosen music. These policies are in place to maintain the highest service standards, ensuring your Bonita Ranch event is truly extraordinary.

Yes, we have ample on-site parking to accommodate your guests conveniently. You can add Valet parking for an additional fee. 

Our rental fee varies based on the date, time, and specific requirements of your event. It typically includes access to the venue, tables, table numbers, table greenery (from nursery to table), chairs, and basic setup. Please visit our packages page or contact us for a personalized quote.

Yes, we welcome pets during the ceremony. However, for the safety and comfort of all guests, pets must be accompanied by a responsible pet sitter and kept on a leash at all times. After the ceremony, we ask that pets either return home or be taken to a pet-sitting facility.
